I’m Mason Hickman, welcome to Artisan Artisan.
Artisan Artisan began as a collection of music I recorded in 2015. I have since adopted the name for a variety of creative projects. Over the past decade I’ve worked as a songwriter, composer, producer, touring musician, and session musician. I currently operate a recording studio in Nashville, TN. I earned my PhD in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University in 2020. My research interests include the analysis and design of composite materials, computational mechanics, digital signal processing, and machine learning. My published work can be found here.
